First time visitor to Dennys. Need a up grade in the decor. Old and fashionless. Friendly service. My server is why they getting three stars. Gave us a complimentary order of hot fries while we waited on food. That was really good. Since my daughter order breakfast but wanted a order of fries. The Bourbon Burger was cooked very well. But the onion rings were hard. My daughter's Peanut Butter cup pancakes she really enjoyed but they could use a less peanut butter. It was not drizzled over it. It was poured on it.. the Santa fe skillet was really season hot and filling. Overall it was a enjoyable experience.

Just went to this Denny's, will never go back. The waitress couldn't handle the amount of tables she had. It was even busy! I felt bad for the one table who didnt get their drinks for 1/2 hr. We got our shakes when the food came out. The food was pretty good. The restaurant was disgusting! This place should just shut down. Never Again.

Food was okay, nothing special. Our server was attentive and quick, though it wasn't busy when we went. He was happy to tend to our requests and whatnot. However the restaurant smelled awful, and I felt dirty after touching everything and anything. Don't think I'll be coming until they clean it up.

Sat here 45 minutes before we got a glass of water or a hello--although a hostess seated us. I don't know why we didn't leave.

No lie, all the kids I went to High School with would live at this Denny's. Even through college and afterwards they'd still go there. Sad townie stuff. I think though I'm 10 years out of high school now, if I were to venture in here on a Friday or Saturday night, they'd probably still be there smoking cigarettes and drinking milkshakes English Andy and I made it our place to make fun of said townies and kvetch about our lives. Loads of cholesterol was consumed. Would recommend if you want to kvetch about your lives or make fun of people you went to high school with not moving on with theirs. Especially if you like Monte Cristo sammishes

Denny's rating 3-stars and the servers rating 5-stars. Denny's is a standard chain restaurant with affordable food choices. You have a combo of diner items including breakfast, burgers and dinner fare. Breakfast is completely the way to go here. The server Damon here is fantastic. Fast coffee refills and has a personality that is better than the average diner drone.

Upon entering a seen a girl smoking out front later to find out that it was our waitress and she smelled like cigarette smoke when serving us. When seated the table was dirty and so were my surrounings. Took a long time for someone to ask us what we wanted for drinks and when the food came out it was cold. its tough to find a good dennys anymore. The only one thats good is up in maine. i just stay home and have my wife cook. nothing like a home made breakfest.

extreme cold but we decide to sit down ...as soon as we did a very strong odor of urine smack me in the face. I felt like i was in a gas stations urinal. I sat the for all of 30 seconds with my hand covering my nose. As i was leaving 2 ladies in the next booth, looked at me and said ..ya it smells like pee. ( they stayed and orderd anyway) SMFH

Had an awesome experience today with the waiter named Steve. Steve has exceptional customer service something that you don't see in every diner / restaurant. I even gave Steve kudos to his manager.

I haven't been in Denny in many years. I decided to go with my girlfriend to breakfast. When we arrived the wait was abt 10 mins. Not bad. We were seated by a server by the name of Damon and he was excellent. From the time we sat down he explained the new items and was very suggestive. He took our orders and they came quickly and correct. The food was great I order the lighter fare wholewheat pecan banana pancakes egg whites and turkey bacon. Damon check on us a few times and the service was awesome.

Me and daughter went there late nite, to get breakfast, server seated us fast, but annoying, bright new lights hanging above tables !? Loud annoying teens sitting next to us in a booth. ..server messed up order twice, food was slightly warm not even hot,and more expensive and much less variety than i remember before. ..not sure ill be back again...food was ok not like it was a few years ago at all, yucky new decor, blah blah colors, menu so so,and not same servers i was used to and def.increase in prices n decrease in quality n quantity also....

Will never do that again. Nasty. You were warned! The server was very pleasant and professional. A man dressed in street clothes not wearing an apron or anything that identified him as an employee of Dennys placed our food on the table and walked away. We confirmed he was the manager of Dennys through our waitress. Would never go again

Service used to be great when Damon was still working there. Since he left, not so much. Managers not very friendly. Waitresses dressed sloppily. If anyone knows where Damon works now, please tell me. My kids loved him.

Take my advice, use the bathroom at home before you come or use another bathroom, after you eat. The food is good to almost perfect, "IF" the deliveries were made on time and the Pantry is well stocked: Apples for the specials were out, oatmeal and grits were out for their regular menu. Grits and oatmeal were out on two occasions. We have never had a problem with service. Coffee and Tea is the usually lukewarm for seniors served in the chipped cup brand. Soups are by the day of the week, but the Delivery Truck/s Concept of Delivery can change that. Get over the fact that pancake houses are the best places for Steaks, Burgers and Ethnic Cuisine......THEY ARE NOT!!!!! Breakfast is their main purpose for being here. The Pike has its' share or Joints, Dives, Ethnic Diners; go there, if you want the Beast Roast Beef go to Arbys, The Pancakes, Waffles, Omelettes/Egg Dishes will satisfy. The Creamed Chip Beef is served with the Toast spread out on the plate, not as the Empire Diner in Lansdowne does....stacked with nothing in between. Breakfast is done right here, if the trucks delivered on time.. Now, for the Mens bathroom: Puddles of Urine at the Urinals and not flushed. Toilets are never flushed, in all the times we have been here, never. Seats are wet and soiled with excrement, looks like it has been there for hours. Stall for Toilet Bowl has puddles and excrement on floor.....BUT, paper towels were placed over the Fecal Matter.....sometimes. Who went out of their way to do that? God only Knows. We go there when we go out for a late night/early morning drive. We will go elsewhere for a Comfort Stop from now on.

I was a little disappointed to see such bad reviews of Denny's. Having lived in different parts of the country I've seen a lot of locations close so I was very happy when I moved right next to one! I have to say that my experience was much different that the majority of the reviews here. Our server was well groomed and articulate by Denny's standards. Out order was accurate and timely and the food was as expected for this eating establishment. I had my wife check the women's bathroom and the feedback was "poor layout but clean". The men's bathroom was clean as well. I give this 4 stars in comparison with other diners quality of food, service and cleanliness. I have always loved Denny's and will certainly be back to this one!

FUBLE Diaries: Episode 1 I love fantasy football. So much so, that I created a league, designed for trash talkers and sent it out into the Internets. In year 1 of this league, only 3 other guys participated. 3 guys from Alaska, who loved football and busting balls as much as I did. In the 2 subsequent seasons, we invited friends, and its snowballed into an amazing league, with assholes from across the USA. There is no money involved, only a travelling trophy, which I made out of an old toilet seat and spray paint. The trophy is called "The FUBLE" , which was making fun of one of the guys constant misspelling of "fumble" Surprisingly, 2 of the Alaskans are Eagles fans ( for various reasons). Over the years, we have joked about them coming to Philly to see a game. This year, however, when it was brought up, I was emboldened (or drunk) enough to offer up my new home, as a place to stay. Imagine my surprise, ,when one day I got a call from one of the Alaskans, that they all got plane tickets to Philly and tickets to the Eagles/Giants game (as well as a ticket for me!). *Gulp* I tried to put aside my fears about this endeavor, and when the day came, psyched myself for the invasion. At least, I was OK until I picked up 3 very large and loud Alaskans, who had spent the good part of their 13 hour trip, bringing the planes beer cart to its knees. Thoughts of driving right past them, did cross my mind, but I figured you only live once, and scooped them up. Once in my home, they settled down and were respectful around my family I got them settled in and we took some time to catch up and shoot the shit, happy to finally have a conversation , that didn't involve a keyboard. This happened to be a night where I had my kids , and couldn't go out, so I pointed them towards the local bars and told them Id meet up with them. Later that evening, when I finally found them, they had left a trail of spilled beers, black eyes and broken hearts and their night was pretty much over. They were however hungry and required something " like a Dennys". I was skeptical about their behavior as I drove to my local Dennys. My years of dealing with loud drunk friends were long behind me and I wasn't too keen on dealing with it in my own backyard. As you may have guessed by now, I'm not really reviewing Dennys, only to say that the Omelet I had was 1 star but the service was 5 star. I wish I could remember the servers name, but she took these drunken Eskimos really well and got us in and out with as little problems as possible. Later, I rationalized that these 24 hr diner workers, must be pros at dealing with drunks, because really, who else is out at 2am? The Alaskans were fed and starting to thankfully wind down. I got them home and passed out in their beds, feeling like I may have averted disaster for at least the time being. I myself went to bed with the feelings of regret dissolving away only to be replaced with the feeling that I should just grab my surfboard and ride what could be my last great wave... or at least the feeling that I should at least match my metaphor to Alaska and not Hawaii.

before I go and bad mouth this restaurant I must say that I was there at 3am and the staff was cool, now for the food...I created a burger of homefries and avocado slices and heres the breakdown roll--cheese??? and too toasty(if thats a word) meat--boring,not seasoned toppings--outstanding!!!(of course its because I created them myself) Once again the staff was very nice but the food was lousy if they bring food in from another restaurant then I will return

I had an amazingly good vegan burger tonight. Soooo delicious. Amy's Kitchen veggie patty, hash browns, avocado, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce & tomatoes. They were a little stingy with the mushrooms, and ran out of sautéed onions. Our server, Steven was really cool. He had no hesitation helping me figure out what I could eat and what had dairy and egg.

Disgusting, Don't. Go. Here. Save your time and money. I went for a late dinner, I was going to be out for awhile with a group of friends. So the first thing I ordered was a coffee. Took a sip, it tasted extremely watered down. Gross. As I went for another sip, I noticed several strands of long hair and what looked like an eyelash. I felt like I was going to be sick right there. When the server came back and I showed him, he said "Well that's not supposed to be in there." No, really??? Didn't order anything else. Also, the restaurant is just plain dirty. I can't even imagine what the kitchen looks like.
